One of the most represented on the stages of the world, Faust is one of the great operas of French Romanticism. Gounod, trying to stay true to the model of Goethe, depicts with tenderness one of the most significant episodes of the myth, the meeting between Faust and Marguerite. The good and evil , the heaven and earth, meet here, in the most touching drama, the man facing the passing of time and the absurdity of life without love. An eternal masterpiece.
Anita Hartig will make her role debut as Marguerite in Faust at Theatre du Capitole de Toulouse on June 22. Five performances will follow on June 24, 26, 28 and July 1 and 3. She will be joined by Teodor Ilincai (Faust), Alex Esposito (Méphistophélès), Maite Beaumont (Siébel), John Chest (Valentin), Cornelia Oncioiu (Marthe) and Rafał Pawnuk (Wagner).
